As said in the previous arcticle they are phisycally opposed. In one hand we can see Mort which has long and blonde ruffled hair, he is not well shaved and in the other hand Shooter has short black hair and no beard. The writter is wearing a ripped dressing gown (House coat, robe de chambre), a shirt and glasses.

His other personality wear a hat, a jacket and a collar. One is looking clean and the other one pretty filthy. And all of that is also shown as they speak. Mort is a writer, a man from the city and his opposite is a man from the campain, a stereotype of the countryman which talks with a rustic accent. His couple crisis leed him to this separation, to the creation of shooter. This character wants a proof that Rainey's wife has.

It's a trick of his mind to push him towards her. His name was a hint and as we know the purpose of his split personality, Shooter's character appeard to take revenge, to kill his wife, to shoot her.
