The presence of the alter was in the movie suggested by a fourth character that was unknown : a blond woman, whose appearance was uncertain and who was following Liz and Pete ; who we believe is Dr Elliott transgender violent patient who leaves him worrisome voicemails. The movie suggests that they were the same character, which is why Liz tries to find her name in Dr Elliott's adress book. In this scene we realize that the mysterious blond woman was a police officer who was already on the case, and the violent transgender woman was Dr Elliott.

The confusion is created when a flash of lightning reveals that Bobbi is in the background. This scene represents the moment when Bobbi is going to take over : in the movie, Bobbi was always in the background, hidden, blurry. It was difficult to identify her both visually and psychologically.

Now she is moving towards Liz, towards the camera and the spectator as to reveal her true identity. We can now see her clearly, and she is about to take over by killing Liz (because she was sexually arousing Dr Elliott and its female alter doesn't accept it). However, she fails to do so because she is shot by the police officer. Her own weapon is turned against her.

As she falls down, she is stripped down of her wig, glasses and the fakeness of her feminine appearance is revealed to the spectator.
